Fall Play Parent Letter
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to share that our fall play is coming together very well. The cast and crew have been working hard, and we are extremely pleased with the progress being made. Students have shown great dedication, and we are looking forward to presenting an outstanding production for our school community.
Due to the success of our football team and their advancement into the playoffs, we have adjusted our performance schedule. The new performance dates and times are:
- Friday, November 14 at 7:00 PM – Report time – 5:30
- Saturday, November 15 at 2:00 PM – Report time – 1:00
As we enter the final phase of rehearsals, attendance becomes even more important. This week will be our technical rehearsals, where we will integrate lighting, sound, scenery, and all of the technical elements that help bring the production to life. During the week of November 9, we will hold our dress rehearsals, which simulate the actual performances as closely as possible.
Because of the amount of work that needs to be completed during these final weeks, it is essential that all cast and crew members attend every scheduled rehearsal. Each student plays an important role in the success of the production, and absences can impact the entire cast and crew. We appreciate your support in helping us ensure students arrive on time and are present for all rehearsals.
Following the final performance, we will hold our Strike Party. Strike is an important theater tradition in which the set is taken apart, costumes are returned and organized, props are put away, and the stage and backstage areas are thoroughly cleaned. Every student is expected to participate in strike as part of their commitment to the production. We also warmly welcome and appreciate any parental assistance during this process. Many hands make the work go quickly, and it is a great opportunity to celebrate the completion of a successful show together. More information will be forthcoming on this.
Thank you for your continued support of our theater program and the students who make it possible. We look forward to seeing you at the performances and celebrating all of the hard work that has gone into this production.
Sincerely,
Dale Brickley
